This is the ARRL official Q and A for the Extra test. It will help you study but it only gives you the questions and a short explanation of the answers. I picked up the The ARRL Extra Class License Manual: For Ham Radio (Arrl Extra Class License Manual for the Radio Amateur) to go with it. And passed the test on the first try/5(5). I plan to take all three tests in one sitting. I have read about 2/3 of the Amateur Extra ARRL license manual so far. I also bought an outdated general Q&A book, and a 20 year old Radio Shack “Now You’re Talking” book and read parts of those. In addition I read FCC sect which I strongly suggest doing.
